Sarah Harding shows off her enviable abs
It seems like everyday I read the newspaper I’m told how our nation is getting persistently fatter, so why is our high street awash with cropped tops? Surely they are the cardinal sin for anyone sporting a bit of a spare tyre?
When I first read about this trend I had visions of flabby bellies hanging out of unflattering tops everywhere I turned, but thankfully as yet I haven’t had to witness such monstrosities. Actually, I’ve been quite surprised at how easy to wear the new breed of cropped tops are. They’re pretty, floaty and…I might even want one for myself.
Obviously I wouldn’t dare inflict my less than toned stomach on the poor British public, but by layering a cropped vest over a plain top I could nod to the trend without being too unsightly!
It seems I’m not the only one who has fallen for this trend, Cheryl Cole, Lindsay Lohan and Sarah Harding have been spotted in them, and they’re flying off the shelves in Topshop – easily the place with the biggest selection.
For all those fortunate enough to have a flat stomach like Sarah Harding, go all out and show off your hard work in my pick of the top of the crops, and for the rest of us we’ll just have to layer it up.

I too would also not inflict my less than toned belly on the public haha, but teaming it with a vest sounds like a good idea.
If you can get away with it, flaunt it I say!

Initially I wasn’t happy about the return of crop tops! But some actually look really nice, I love LiLo’s Topshop one. May have to do some crunches before I bust out one anytime soon though!xx
