One of the strongest prints in fashion the animal print is certainly a trend to invest in. Around since the 80s this wild print has been on everything from bed linen to shoes whether its giraffe spots, leopard, zebra or tiger print.
Although the animal print has mixed reactions (some may deem it tacky) it is definitely a key print this season, with it still dominating the fashion world.
Just last week X-Factor judge Dannii Minogue graced the red carpet with a leopard print maxi dress and at London Fashion Week designer Jeremy Scott stunned the audience with his ‘Flintstones’ inspired catwalk show!
The key to this trend is too keep it simple- too much print and you’ll risk looking like Bet Lynch from Corrie (remember her?) so just make sure your not head-to-toe in print!
If you’re not feeling so brave to wear a full on print outfit (dress/jumper/trousers) then printed accessories are the way to go. For a daytime look print on scarves, jumpers and shoes will spice up any outfit and for a night-time look printed heels or a clutch compliment a plain outfit.
The great thing about this trend is that it’s still dominant on the high street so you’ll find some animal magic in shops such as Dorothy Perkins, Next, New Look and River Island. Colours to look out for this season are grey, blue, black and red.
We’ve picked some of our favourite animal print items available in the shops now. So go on take a walk on the wild side!
Does animal print make you go wild or do you find it scary (spice)?
