Here at Wardrobe we’ve fallen in love with Aussie. We really have. Their products are amazing and some of us would never have fallen in love with them if it wasn’t for ‘Uncover Aussie’. It was because of their pampering night that I was introduced to the ” 3 minute luscious long locks deep treatment“- I swear by it now!
Recently we were given a challenge/task by the ‘Uncover Aussie’ team: “What if Aussie were a short story? What genre would it be? Would it have a happy ending?”
Now I don’t know about you but we thought it was a pretty hard challenge! The most challenging thing about this task was writing our short story as a group- especially as we live in different towns and cities. Anyway I managed to pull something together, although I am pretty sure J.K Rowling won’t lose any sleep over my creative writing skills!
“The miracle from down under”
Once upon a time there was a girl who hated her dull lifeless hair. Every hair product she tried was complete cow pat and did nothing for her dull lifeless hair AT ALL. She got so depressed about her hair that one morning she wished she was bald.
“I wish I was bald,” she said. “Then I wouldn’t have to worry about my crappy hair and none of the big girls would laugh at me and call me names”.
She looked out the window and saw a group of girls walking past with their Cheryl Cole-esque hair. “Ugh,” she sighed. She envied their hair more so than the girls themselves. Why couldn’t she get her hair to be like that? No hair products did the trick for her so it seemed. Her hair left everyone baffled. Even all the hairdressers in her town had given up- nothing worked.
“That’s it, it’s over!!” she cried.
With tears strolling down her eyes she reached for her scissors with the sole intention of chopping all her hair off. Like she said it was over. Goodbye rubbish hair. This was her only alternative. She couldn’t take the pain anymore. “No hair is better than dull lifeless hair, right?” she sobbed.
Just as she was about to take her first snip a talking Kangaroo appeared out of nowhere.
“G’day sport” said the kangaroo. The girl dropped her scissors in shock, “WTF!?” she shouted.
“Chillax Sheila” said the kangaroo calmly, “You look like you’ve never seen a talking kangaroo before.”
The girl rubbed her eyes. “I think you’ve got the wrong house mate, my names not Sheila its Dawn.”
The kangaroo laughed. “Where’s my manners, the names Ozzie. I was hopping through the neighbourhood and I heard your wish so I thought I’d hop by.” In his hand was a briefcase.
The girl- Dawn was curious “My wish?”
“Yeah and aren’t I glad that I hopped by in time! I think I might have the answer to your hair problems.”
Dawns eyes lit up. Ozzie opened up his briefcase and inside were various sized bottles with colourful writing on them. “Try these” he winked.
He handed the bottles over to her and before she could say anything, Ozzie the kangaroo was gone. So Dawn headed off to the shower clutching her bottles. As she squirted one of the bottles onto her hair something changed. She felt a tingle. No other product has made her tingle before. As she wrapped her hair in her towel she prayed, “Please don’t let me down Ozzie.”
She waited what seemed like a lifetime but finally it was time to see the results. As she un-wrapped the towel from her hair she gasped. Her hair smelt divine, felt divine and most importantly it LOOKED divine. “It can’t be….it worked!?”
For the first time in her life her hair was no longer dull and lifeless but the complete opposite. She couldn’t wait to show her family, her friends, the big girls who laughed at her and called her names, and the hairdressers who gave up, everyone!
As she jumped up and down in front of the mirror with joy, waving her fingers through her fabulous hair she noticed Ozzie’s briefcase on the floor. She opened the briefcase and inside was what seemed like a million bottles of miracle hair care products.
Next to the briefcase was a note which she read out: “There’s more to life than hair, but it’s a good place to start…so remember when you’re hair is feeling glum, don’t fret just think of Aussie. Spread the love to all the Sheila’s, love Oz.”
Dawn kissed the note and whispered with glee, “I love you Aussie!”
The End.
What do you think? Just a bit of light-hearted fun so please don’t take it too seriously!
