When we think of celebrity fashionistas, Leona Lewis isn’t a name that would come to mind. The X Factor winner seemed to have found her niche in pretty dresses and stuck to it. While there has been no major faux pas, as Noel Fielding would say – she’s about as edgy as a satsuma!
So it’s nice to see that Leona has broken out of her sartorial rut and made a couple of brave, high-fashion choices for her public appearances this week. Last night she attended a party for the Spanish edition of Harpers Bazaar magazine in a winged-style black Stella McCartney dress, lashings of red lipstick and a hint of an attitude that we don’t normally see from the reserved star.

On Tuesday night she took to the Red Carpet at the Brits in a futuristic aysymmetric dress by William Tempest, accessorised with an oversized cuff and clashing neon pink shoes.

Is the singer making a concerted effort to move away from her girl-next-door image for a more high-fashion look? Only time will tell, but I like the fact that she’s trying something new for a change! What do you think of Leona’s look?

I don’t think any of it suits her, she’s too boring to pull any of this off. Especially all the Viv Westwood outfits, they were great but looked so wrong on her.
