AW10 Obsession: Lace Up Heeled Ankle Boots

26 Aug

It seems like only yesterday that the sun was shining and we were all swanning around in our maxi dresses with our shades on soaking in some vitamin D….

Now if you look out the window all you can see is rain and grey skies. That’s the British weather for you!

Although I am sad that it’s only August and the weather is rubbish, a part of me is a little glad as it means I can bring some more of my A/W items out now. You know what they say, every cloud…

If I had to pick my fave purchase of 2009 then it would have to be my Lace-Up work boots- I have practically wore them out and I don’t see me taking them off this A/W either. Saying that, it didn’t stop me buying these lovely beauties:

Limited Collection Fold Down Lace Up Boots @ Marks & Spencers £35.00

Now I don’t normally shop in Marks and Spencer so when I saw these the other day I was gobsmacked! For £35.00 they are a steal. They also come in black but I thought I would be different and get the Mink colour. As a heel amateur they are perfect to wear in the day and can be worn dressed up. I was so chuffed with my buy I thought I had to share it with you all. (A special mention has to go to my dad for dragging me into M&S!)

Lace Up heeled boots are going to be a big trend this Autumn. Here at Wardrobe we’ve all got our lace up boots sorted. Ones to look out for are ankle length, chunky heels, wedged boots, fleece/shearling lined and turned down (fold over)cuffs.

Here’s a few of our faves in the shops now, happy shopping!

Lace Up Cuff Boot @ New Look £29.99

Khaki Trecker Lace Up Shearling Boot @ ASOS £55.00

Brown canvas wedge boot @ Miss Selfridge £35.00

Black Lace Up Buckle Boot @ Dorothy Perkins £45.00

Brown suede faux fur lined ankle boots @ River Island £54.99

Limited Edition eyelet leather lace heel boot @ New Look £75.00

Black leather faux fur lined ankle boot @ River Island £74.99

Tilly side buckle worker boot @ Boohoo.com £35.00

Do you own a pair of lace up heeled ankle boots? What do you think of this seasons shearling lined boots?

I have some lace up flat work boots from last winter that I’ll be wearing, but tempted to get a suede wedge pair! I love the cuffed ones, but trying not to go for the shearling ones in case I regret next winter!

    Yes, yes, YES.
I am all over these Marks boots. Best ones I’ve seen in ages (that bit of sheepskin doesn’t do it for me in the others).

    Another great post, Ladies! xx

How crap is the weather!! I am so excited about winterwear though. Those style of boots are everything, but the heel on the workman style boots freak me out a bit! Not sure why!

Oh my god, the Marks boots are completely sold out. I went to Merry Hill shopping centre in Brierly Hill and they have NONE in ANY size in EITHER colour.
    FFS.

And now my colleague has advised me that they’re sold out online. How upsetting.

Hi! I’ve been searching literally EVERYWHERE for those boots! (second picture at the top) an then it comes up with your website, I was sooo happy! See, I had a pair of them In 2011 and I have to say, they were amazinggg! Unfortunately, they broke and got to small after many years of wearing them:( I told myself that id buy another pair but it seems they have all been sold out (sniff) so if anyone knew where I could buy a pair of lace up cuff boots then pleaseee let me know! :)
