Clothing At Tesco’s “Pass It On” Challenge

9 Dec

When the lovely Tarryn from Clothing at Tesco contacted us regarding an A/W blogger challenge they were running, we were of course interested. We love a challenge here at Wardrobe which is how we ended up in Paris last weekend running a race wearing 3.5+ inch heels…

Anyway back to the challenge – Clothing at Tesco kindly agreed to send us an item of our choice from their A/W range and asked us to take a pic of how we styled it. We’re big fans of their stuff espcially the ‘F&F’ range so we thought why not? They also asked us to then choose a blogger to ‘pass on’ this challenge to. It didn’t take us much time to agree to ‘pass it on’ to one of our fave bloggers: Joanne at Music, Fashion & Clutter.

As there are four of us at Wardrobe, two of us picked one item and the other two another. We tried to choose items that fitted in with A/W trends. Steph and Bhav went all military on us and picked a Khaki skirt whilst me and Chloe went for a mix of two hot trends: lace up wedge boots.

Now we’re not overly keen on ‘posing’ for pics to put on here, so excuse the uncomfortable expressions/poses!

Here’s how we got on:

F&F Khaki skirt @ Clothing at Tesco £14.00

Steph:  “This skirt is a really nice colour with an elasticated waste, skater style skirt and a zip down the middle. I decided to pair this lovely Tesco piece with a woolly knitted jumper from Topshop. It’s been pretty cold recently, hence the wintery feel to this outfit, so I thought the jumper would be warm, yet still on trend.

I also teamed the top and skirt with a faux fur bodywarmer, as fur is all over the high street at the minute. To finish off my winter warmer, I wore tights, Topshop skater style heeled boots (which are totally on trend) and a khaki woollen hat from Topshop.”

Bhav: “First off, I love the silky feel of this skirt! It makes me feel quite girly and I love the way the khaki looks in the light. I decided to team my F+F skirt with some grey Tabio tights rather than the usual black and my heeled boots from Dorothy Perkins. Because of the black, grey and khaki colours, I wanted to add a bit of colour to the outfit, so I chose this red shirt from New Look. The shade doesn’t clash too much with the skirt and makes the whole thing a lot brighter. Even though it’s winter I still like to keep things colourful!

I think this skirt is a great addition to a winter wardrobe and I’ll certainly be debuting this at work at some point.”

The second item:

F&F suede lace up wedges @ Clothing at Tesco £20.00

Sunny: “This season I’ve seen a lot of people wearing wedge boots and if it wasn’t for this challenge I probably wouldn’t have ever got some but i’m glad I did! I didn’t realise how comfortable they are and not that hard to walk in. Also at £20.00 they are a steal!! I felt there was something very 70′s about these suede lace up wedge boots and with the 70′s trend making it’s way this season I decided to base my outfit on this.

I wore my boots with this gorgeous printed tunic from Debenhams (Red Herring) and plain black leggings from New Look. All I needed was a fur gilet (another hot a/w trend!) and a floppy hat to totally rock the 70′s chic!”

Chloe: “I’ve been looking to buy a pair of wedges for a while as they’re much comfier than my usual heels! I love how versatile this pair of Tesco wedge shoe boots are, and have worn them with both smart shift dresses for work or dressed them down with tunic dresses for the weekend. Here I wore the boots with a River Island Peter Pan collar leopard top and a pinafore style dress from Forever 21.”

So there you have it. We have 2 items and four different ‘looks’. What do you think of the items? Since we received our items, Clothing at Tesco have had a lot more new stuff on the website which definitely deserves some attention- in particular the partay outfits. They really do give the high street a run for their money. Go on and have a cheeky look, it’ll be worth it!

Once again we’d like to thank Clothing at Tesco (especially Tarryn) for being so kind to us and we look forward to seeing what Joanne picks!

That skirt is lovely and both of you girls style it so well! The fur vest was perfect, and the flannel shirt looks very cool with it. Omg and those shoes are FAB! :)
