Fashion’s Night Out returned for it’s third year on 8 September. The event, organised by Vogue magazine, took place in over 250 cities worldwide, and Harvey Nichols in Birmingham marked the evening with a new season fashion show.
There were some great Men and Women’s A/W trends on display. For the ladies there were trends such as Modern Fetish, Highland Fling, Jean Genie and One of the Boys. For the men there’s Old Guard, Icons and Boys in Blue, to name a few.
I won’t inflict many of my photos on any of you. It took me a long time to get my camera on the right setting and I gave up halfway through, but I do have a photo of a McQ by Alexander McQueen dress from the Highland Fling trend that I loved. The rest are obviously not taken by me!

Paul Smith velvet jacket, £465 Alexander McQueen scarf, £240 Dom Rebel T-shirt, £120 Calvin Klein jeans, £185
I really enjoyed the night and apart from getting to see the new autumn/winter pieces, I got to enjoy the company of some fabulous local bloggers.
They were Sian from Tea an Toast, Laurie from Bell & Smokey, Em from Style and Grit, Lou from Style Kaleidoscope, Elca from Exist Media, Holly from Jones Loves, Kate from Bespoke Rose, Kirstin from Mayflower Girl and Emma from Fashion Mommy. All the blogs are different and I’m really glad I’ve discovered them and it was nice to meet certain bloggers that we’ve spoken to quite a bit over Twitter. I look forward to seeing all the girls very soon at Style Birmingham and I would definitely recommend checking out their blogs and posts on FNO.
Thank you to Harvey Nichols for putting on a great show and for the bottle of wine in the goodie bag
Did anyone else enjoy Fashion’s Night Out?
