We’re back!
Yep the birthday celebrations lasted erm a while but now we’re all fresh and ready to blog again.
We’ve had a weird summer even for our standards. After MONTHS of rain we’ve finally had that sunshine we’ve all been yearning for- and don’t it feel good!!
I practically had to dust off the cobwebs on all my summer clothes. I think the rain really dampened my shopping spirit as I’ve felt so uninspired looking at summer fashion when the weather has been rubbish. But with the sun making an appearance, and lots of A\W12 previews around, I’ve got the shopping bug again.
One website I stumbled upon during my search for a wardrobe update was ‘Own The Runway‘, a “trendy and affordable” fashion e-tailer. I can’t believe I hadn’t found it before.
Browsing through the website, I found lots of things that I liked. This could be potential bad times for my bank balance! The items certainly are trendy and from looking at the prices they are affordable. I’ve yet to buy something from there (skint city) but I’m so tempted. These are just a few of the things I’ve added to my wishlist. I think with the unpredictable weather, it’s definitely wise to buy transitional items that can be worn into A/W…
The Biker Jacket: The Biker jacket is back this A/W. Like we say every year, it’s a wardrobe essential. I think this Caramel coloured leather look jacket is a great alternative to my black leather one.
Back In Black: Well when the days get darker so does my wardrobe. You can’t go wrong with black and studs. Perfect combination.
Prints: While the sun is still out I’m going to make the most of wearing some jazzy prints. Leopard print is back for AW12 which excites me greatly. Even though my wardrobe has enough leopard print in it to rival Scary Spices’, I need to get me this dress. I’m also still loving paisley print- just add some tights and a cardigan for when the days and nights get colder.
Peter Pan collars: Another one of those trends that don’t really go away, Peter Pan collars are here to stay for AW12. This blue polka dot playsuit is so cute. It can also be worn during the Olympics- come on Team GB! See we’ve got all shopping excuses covered hehe.
There are literally so many items that I could post on here but these are the items that really caught my eye. With the sun glaring outside, it is weird looking at/for AW items but I’m trying to be sensible in my future buys! These are also just some of the AW12 trends- keep an eye out on the blog for more on trend forecasts.
What do you think of Own The Runway? Have you bought from there before? Which AW12 trends are you looking forward too?
